UTE and TBX2 Status Updates

August 09, 2018

Universal Tuning Editor (UTE) continues its development alongside the release of the new TBX2, with functions specific to TBX2. Below are some screenshots of the windows added to UTE for the various purposes.

A window for programming any of the 40 Presets …

A window for setting Global Parameters …

A window for setting up sysex headers and message options (including MTS sysex headers) for any of the 10 USR presets…

A window for unit Data Backup …

A window for Data Restore …

And of course a window for Firmware Updating.

A first draft of the UTE user manual is also finished. I would like to include a reference for instrument definition files (XML) to help out users who want to add their own instruments to UTE (example files are also included), but I don't know if I'll have time to do it for the first release of the software, because I've just found out that 100 TBX2 bars PCB units will ship today from Bulgaria, and as soon as those get here (probably within a week) all my time will need to be devoted to assembling enclosures and shipping TBX2 units.

This is an exciting time, and a lot of work. Wish me luck!

Best Regards,
Aaron
