THE CUSTOM TUNING EDITOR

Custom Scale Editor is a full-featured tuning editor for Mac OSX and Windows which allows you to tune any MIDI key to any pitch using ratios, Hz values, decimals, constants and functions, code snippets, user definable algorithms, and more. Import Scala and .tun files, tune quick temperaments in a snap, quickly edit and and export tunings in a variety of popular tuning formats. A Live Input feature also allows you to retune output from sequencers and notation programs, as well as retune hardware and software synthesizers in real time.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: CSE has been officially discontinued as of January 1, 2023. The software should continue to work, but it is no longer being maintained (bugs will not be fixed). Our most recent application Universal Tuning Editor (UTE) was developed to replace CSE, and can import .cse projects. Please upgrade at the UTE product page.
