Shipping delays to the U.S.A.

May 13, 2020

As I went to the German Postal service website today to ship the FLASH synths bought during the sale on May 9, I found out that since May 11 it is no longer possible to ship packages from Germany to the United States as "Warensendung" (purchased item / product shipment), because of the Corona-Virus pandemic. So I went to DHL to try the small package option (it is a different service and therefore a different website than the German mail / Deutschepost), and found their normal delivery services to the U.S. have also been stopped.

After some research I found it is still possible to ship a package to the U.S. using a special service from DHL, but it would cost 37 € (over $40 USD) [update: actual current cost is around 60€ = over $70 USD] for each package. For most customers that is a difference of around $30 from the amount paid for shipping at checkout, so it seems unlikely anyone will want to pay that much more in order to have the synth shipped now, though it is possible. Unfortunately the shipments can't be made right now unless the special service from DHL would be paid for. I’m very sorry about this.

So all the synths ordered by customers in the U.S. will be held here until they can be shipped normally. Alternatively, the extra shipping cost can be paid. An order can also be cancelled and a refund given, though this would be the most regrettable option. Please bear in mind that the European PayPal (which is not the same as PayPal in the U.S.) charges a transaction fee for refunds.

A version of this same message was addressed individually to each customer in the United States who ordered a synth. If anyone has questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact me.

Needless to say, this is all rather disappointing for U.S. customers, and also for me. But we'll work this out. I want to thank you, everyone, for your patience. Please stay well.

Yours Sincerely,
Aaron
