Announcing the Tonal Plexus TPX260 (2019)

January 25, 2019

I'm happy to announce that we are now prototyping a new Tonal Plexus design, the TPX260. This short video introduces the new octave boards and briefly explains some of the concepts we're using in the new design.

The first prototype will be a five octave keyboard which should be done later this year, and we hope to hold pre-orders for the new keyboards by the end of 2019.

For all our loyal readers — both of you! — in 2016, in this bog I started telling the story of how the Tonal Plexus came to be, and I promised to continue, but then I left you hanging … for almost two years now. You've been very patient! At the moment I regret to have to say I'm too busy with other developments here (a lot of software programming, but also product design and testing) to pick up the thread right now, but I promise to do it later this year. The story needs to be told, and since it's obviously continuing with this new version of the Tonal Plexus this year, I need to keep up before history gets too far ahead of me :) So stay tuned!

All the Best,
Aaron

P.S. Here is a wireframe image of the new octave design.
