MIDI Router Update - now supports Dark Mode

January 29, 2021

After the release of MIDI Router last week, I started receiving reports of various minor issues — bound to happen of course with any new release, no matter how much beta testing is done. Lack of Dark Mode support was at the top of the list, particularly noticeable because the icon drawn in black in the macOS system menubar became almost invisible in Dark Mode. Other issues concerned the User Interface particularly in the Script Editor, where certain Status Byte selections resulted in Data Byte selections which didn't always make complete sense, and the Debugger output needed some minor tweaking. I received many requests for improvements to the Monitor window, all of which I found reasonable and doable. As always, thank you to everyone for reporting issues and suggesting improvements. You help make the software better for everyone.

Very special thanks go to Sensel Morph owner and human of infinite patience Mike O'Connor, for troubleshooting problems with Sensel MIDI input. Through many beta-testing versions of MIDI Router over the past week, we finally arrived at a new improved version of the app that doesn't balk at input from this unusual and amazingly versatile controller.

The documentation has been updated for clarity and to include new information on options which have been added to the preferences.

Please download the update from the MIDI Router software page.

Stay well,
Aaron
